It’s a great place right on the Kawkawlin river. I was very impressed with my BLT, fries, and an ice cold beer. The wait staff was excellent and had perfect timing in fulfilling my needs. Overall a great night out at Castaways.
We have recently moved to town and decided to try a new spot, we'd heard good things about Castaways. It was a beautiful sunny day and it wasn't too busy so we sat outside. They were just opening up the outside patio and wiped off seats for us. Becky was our server and she was great! I had a couple beers and the fish tacos, totally recommend. Since we are new to town, we ask the locals where to go and what to do. Becky was super friendly and helpful with recommendations. She took a photo of us by the river. She definitely made the experience fun and inviting. Thanks, Becky!
1st time eating here and my husband and I enjoyed our food. I had the Surf & Turf, steak grilled perfectly. My husband had the Pot Roast, he said it was tender and tasty. Fast service too.
We ate at Castaways today for the first time in years. The restaurant is very clean and the food was excellent. Our server was Presly and she was the best! So friendly and super fast with all our needs. We will definitely be back. The hostess was very friendly as well and full of smiles. It was a great experience from the second we walked into the door.
Fantastic place! There was 6 of us in our party and everyone enjoyed their meal! Everything from the Mac and cheese to the shrimp entree were PERFECT! We only wish you were closer. We traveled from the west side of Michigan to the bay.
It was a while ago, so my memory is fading, but I really did like this place. I had the World's Largest Stromboli. Not sure if that's true, but I liked it either way. And it was big. I sat at the bar and dined alone. Poor, poor, pitiful me. A good stop.
That's a restaurant right here on the water in Bay City Michigan. Folks let me tell you this is a place to stop and enjoy a great meal whether you can drive into the parking lot and park or if you pull up with your boat and tie up to the docks. Now you'll find that sometimes it is a very busy place so you might want to call and make a reservation on a busy weekend but generally you can get in pretty quickly. The atmosphere is upbeat and fun. They have lots of seating inside and out. Service was very good and they took time to acknowledge that you waited a while to get your food or that you waited a while to get in.
You can definitely tell that this is under new management. Has a whole new staff, cleaner, clean new menus. The place was busy. I had a great Sangria. Perfect Calzone. The crab legs were good.
